Thinking the Eisenhowers' practice of not serving alcohol in the White House adds interest to a similar custom in Hayes' administration, Scott sends for the [Brown] library material on Mrs. [Rutherford B.] Hayes. With this are Scott's pamphlet "Illinois' Testimonial to Mr. and Mrs. Rutherford B. Hayes" and a parchment autographed by Justice W. S. Burges of R.I.
